To me, creating art is worship. It is how I spend time with the Lord, how I talk with Him, and how I hear His voice. In particular, this piece is inspired by a love for the wilderness. Not just the "desert" as we tend to think of it. But the wilderness of the Bible, the quiet place, the solitary place, the uninhabited plain. A place where we go to find our strength in the Lord, to revel in His excellency, to be strengthened and emboldened by our faith. The canvas, and this palette, this is my wilderness.
Where is your wilderness?
What if we take time today to rest, revel, and find strength in the Lord... wherever our wilderness may be.
