Her opening artwork, currently featured on FaithStreet's congregation app home screen, is a painting from Merna's Heaven & Earth Series - Heaven & Earth III.
Part of the Heaven & Earth series has a circle as a theme symbolizing eternity. This painting has delicate colorful marks coming through the white veil that has been sanded down randomly to reveal the egg tempera colors underneath. The calligraphic marks seen in certain areas then slightly obscured underneath the transparent gesso. It's as if seeing through a veil to what is hidden. It's a play between the visible and the invisible. The 23.5 ct gold marks catch the light and give a sense of illumination. It's a painting that reveals new things every time you look at it.
Artwork is available as Limited Edition Museum Quality Archival Original Giclée print numbered and signed by the Artist.
Each print is hand-embellished with 23.5 ct gold leaf and hand varnished using archival UV varnish. It is printed on photo rag 310 gms paper using archival inks. So each print is unique and original.
