Charlotte’s Place Busy on 9-11-11
FaithStreet was down at Ground Zero yesterday paying our respects on the 10th anniversary of the 9-11 attacks. We were excited to see a line outside of Charlotte’s Place, which is a Downtown community space sponsored by Trinity Wall Street. According to the church’s website, Charlotte’s Place is a “free gathering space open to anyone in Lower Manhattan.” Charlotte’s Place invites the community to “come draw on the wall, water the plants, eat your lunch, attend an art workshop, listen to music, read a book, use the free wi-fi, watch a movie, or whatever else comes to mind.” Charlotte’s Place is also open to all and free to use. Jenn Chinn is the program manager at Charlotte’s Place.
