This week FaithStreet showcases an interesting collection of church-sponsored events in New York City, and like other weeks, there is never a shortage of great events to choose from.  This weeks events include the very first service of a new church plant in the East Village, the first meeting of a “marriage enrichment” class intended for couples pre or post marriage, a public service event to clean up NYC now that Spring has arrived, a class on “spirituality for the skeptical but curious” sponsored by The River, and an event sponsored by Judson Memorial Church that will provide an “overview of the Honduran resistance movement and the on-going crisis facing the country.”  If you would like to suggest an event for inclusion in our weekly events post, please email us [faithstreet (at) faithstreet (dot) com], and if you attend one of these events we would love to hear what you thought about it.  Check ‘em out:

Description: Pastor Freddy T and Susan Wyatt are excited to see future & current marriages of people in the Gallery Church enriched and strengthened in the joy of Christ for the glory of Christ, and are willing to provide transformational truth in a fun transparent environment of community and accountability by hosting Marriage Enrichment Mondays. Beginning April 11th from 7:30-9:15pm, Marriage Monday’s will meet three weeks in a row and then be evaluated. You can sign up for one, two or all three of them. You should only sign up if you can commit to being on time and being there the whole evening. This is perfect for pre or post marital counseling. We will also discuss ways people in the United States can be in solidarity with the movement there.  We will be playing a clip from We Are Not Afraid: Inside the Coup in Honduras, the first feature documentary film about the Honduran Resistance.”
