NYC Church Events: March 21-March 27
Every week FaithStreet will highlight 5-10 church events that we think are interesting, thought-provoking, or, yes, even controversial. This week, we’ve found an event at Trinity Wall Street called “Bach at One,” a Monday midday service series which features the Trinity Choir and Baroque Orchestra playing the music of Johann Sebastian Bach. It sounds great for workers in the Financial District who want a tramquil break from their desks for an hour. For Brooklyn yoga-lovers on a budget, The Lutheran Church of the Messiah in Greenpoint features a weekly “Donation Yoga Night” on Tuesdays. For a catholic perspective on Mormonism head to The Parish of Calvary-St. Georges on Sunday for a “Sunday Forum” titled “American Cults: Mormonism, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Scientology.” Who decides what is and isn’t a “cult” anyway?
Mention of an event here is certainly not an endorsement of the event or the content of the event by FaithStreet. To find more church-sponsored events in NYC go to http://www.faithstreet.com/events. Here, churches that have signed up for a free FaithStreet profile can post their events and the events are searchable to all FaithStreet visitors. If you are a church leader and would like to have your event mentioned in this weekly series or on FaithStreet.com, send us an email to Faithstreet at Faithstreet dot com.
Thanks for reading, and we’d appreciate your feedback.
